Hornbills (this is a red-billed one) have interesting nesting behavior. The female walls herself into a nest hole (usually in a tree) with adobe made from feathres and dung. In this self-imposed prison, she raises the chicks until they fledge, provided for by the male, who passes food through a small slot. I often saw them in pairs, and they were vocal and seemingly affectionate with each other. I'm not sure what to call the small bird on the right, although I suspect it's a weaver of some sort.
