Whidbey Island, Washington, USA

In summer 2004 I dived from Whidbey Island, which sits near the San Juan Islands in the strait of San Juan de Fuca. The water was 54 degrees, and wave action at the dive site (the ferry terminal to port defiance on the west side) mixed the water so thatthere was no thermocline down to 55 feet.
